PLAYGROUND FLAVORS FROM EUROPE – Playgrounds come in many forms and flavors. On this trip it included a huge pirate ship in London at Hyde Park’s Princess Diana’s garden, a large crank Archimedies screws in Edinburgh, air travel by gondola in Wales and Madrid, water-powered funnicular in Wales, and historic trollys in Lisbon and Rome, double decker buses, interactive art, vintage amusement rides, and tactile maps to touch and climb on or hollowed out ancient Olive trunk trees in Italian Castle gardens, Kids want to play and there are many ways to encourage creative play and interaction for all ages. Whether a formal playground or natural feature, we want to interact with our environment in creative ways.
